The Cultivating Change Foundation’s mission is to value and elevate LGBTQ+ agriculturists through advocacy, education, and community. Through its annual awards program, the Foundation recognizes individuals and entities that help to advance that mission. The Foundation is seeking nominations for its annual awards, which are described in the file linked to the button. Preference will be given to nominations received no later than August 1, 2023.

The Nothmann Family Charitable Fund is proud to support two $1,500 scholarships to help off-set costs for attending the Cultivating Change Summit.  This year, the summit will be held in Washington, D.C., from Oct. 1-3.

The mission of scholarship program is to offer support to LGBTQ+ and allies working in agriculture to attend the Cultivating Change Annual Summit. Applications are due September 1.

Mark Stewart
CEO, Agriculture Future of America

Mark Stewart serves as the president and CEO of Agriculture Future of America (AFA). He is responsible for leading the organization’s external relationships and strategic planning processes for short and long-term growth. He joined AFA in June 2011 as director of development and communications.

Janice Person is a natural bridge builder and for the past decade, she’s been building bridges inside agriculture and from ag to the general public. As owner of Grounded Communications, she focuses on public speaking, training and working on projects with clients who seek her unique footprint.

Stuart Chutter
Policy Analyst & Farmer

Stuart is an agriculture junky with passion for risk management, soil health, regenerative agriculture and fitness. Building resilience – in agriculture, in business and in personal development - are the conversations he wants to be a part of.  Stuart works as a policy analyst in Canadian agriculture, focused on programs including revenue protection and crop insurance. Outside of work Stuart is a farmer, diversity advocate and ultrarunner.

The purpose of the Cultivating Change Summit is to bring together agriculture LGBTQ+ employees, human resources and diversity and inclusion professionals, employee resources group leaders, executives and organizational leaders, allies and others who are working toward an equitable industry environment for LGBTQ+ agriculturists everywhere.
