Cultivating Community: Washington, D.C.

  • Farm Credit 50 F Street NW (map)

Join the Cultivating Change Foundation and our cohost, Q Street, for our Washington, DC Cultivating Community Networking Event on May 14, 2026, from 5:30–7:30 PM.

This in-person gathering brings together LGBTQ+ professionals, students, and allies across food, agriculture, and natural resources. Whether you're early in your career or a seasoned leader, this is a space to connect, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships rooted in community and belonging.

We are honored to share that Congressman Eric Sorensen, who represents Illinois’ 17th Congressional District, will join this event and share brief comments. As a member of the House Committee on Agriculture and the first openly LGBTQ Member of Congress from Illinois, Congressman Sorensen brings an important perspective on the intersection of public service, agriculture, and LGBTQ+ visibility. Be sure to join us early to hear from Congressman Sorensen.

Come for the conversation. Stay for the connections. Refreshments and appetizers will be provided.
